I AM Is Not Me

Many people understand I AM

as a positive statement
or a form of self-affirmation.

But I AM is not a sentence.

It is the position
before identity is formed.

It is the moment
just before the words
“I am someone” appear.

Structure 1 — I AM Comes Before Identity

“I am confident.”
“I am hurt.”
“I am successful.”

These look like complete statements.

But something invisible
always comes first.

I AM.

The problem is not the words themselves.
The problem is mistaking
what comes after I AM
for who we are.

Q&A 1

Q. Then is I AM not ‘me’?

A. No.

It is the position
before “me” is created.

Structure 2 — Identity Is What Gets Added

We live as if
the words attached to I AM
are facts.

Mother.
Victim.
Failure.
Winner.

But these are additions,
not origins.

I AM does not change.
Only the labels do.

Q&A 2

Q. Is realizing this awakening?

A. Yes.

But this is only the beginning.

Structure 3 — Knowing Is Letting Go

To “know” I AM
is not to gain a higher self.

It is closer to losing one.

Letting go of
“I am this kind of person.”
“I am someone who must be explained.”

One description at a time.

Q&A 3

Q. Then what should I do now?

A. Nothing.

If the distinction is seen,
that is enough.

I AM is not me.
It is the position
before me appears.
